The Humboldt Forum has been opened to the public as a forum for art, culture and
science since September 2021. Rebuilt according to the design of the Italian architect
Franco Stella the Palace accommodates permanent exhibitions from non-European
cultures. To protect both the visitors and the valuable exhibits in the event of a fire
the ventilation system is being equipped with KRM® duct smoke detectors from
Oppermann Regelgeräte which qualify as DIBt-approved smoke trigger devices.
